About The Teacher Collaborative

The Teacher Collaborative is a community built by teachers, for teachers that fosters collaboration, empowers innovation, and creates meaningful professional learning opportunities for educators across Massachusetts. Founded in 2017, we have a statewide focus. 

We offer programs that are designed to bring educators together, elevate teachers as experts, support collaboration across schools, and celebrate and share practices that benefit students and teachers. All educators from any school across Massachusetts are invited to participate in our core programs:

• Professional Learning: We provide high quality professional learning opportunities for teachers where they build skills, expertise, confidence, and leadership experiences through a focus on entrepreneurship, design thinking, advocacy, and fundraising to support their ideas. We offer opportunities that meet teachers where they are throughout their career trajectory and teacher leadership journey.
• Teacher-to-Teacher Sharing: We also create in-person and virtual spaces for educators to connect, share, and learn together. At in-person events, educators learn about a new topic, share ideas and resources, and connect with other educators from different schools and districts around the state. Educators find like-minded educators and celebrate what's great about teaching. Through our robust social media presence, teacher-centered podcast, and online resource sharing space, teachers connect to their best resource: one another. 

In addition, we consult and collaborate with schools, districts, and other non-profits on projects that are aligned with our mission of empowering and connecting educators across classrooms and schools. We are a founding member of the Elevating Educators Coalition, where we play a leading role as both fiscal/organizational manager and part of the Executive Leadership Committee.
