  • About Us

Angioma Alliance is a voluntary health organization whose mission is to inform, support and empower individuals affected by cavernous angiomas and drive research for better treatments and a cure. Cavernous angiomas are abnormal blood vessels that can hemorrhage and cause seizure and neurological deficits. One in approximately 150 people has a cavernous angioma and 1/3 of these individuals will have symptoms. We produce a website and patient literature; sponsor international scientific workshops and national family conferences; host a DNA/Tissue Bank and Patient Registry; and offer free genetic testing to patients to increase awareness and understanding of the illness.
