Since 1990 Historic Ketchikan has fostered Ketchikan’s unique early 20th century character. Historic Ketchikan restores endangered buildings in blighted neighborhoods; biennially publishes Our Town, a compendium of current and historic stories, facts, and community characteristics that has a multinational circulation; and engages with local governments and community stakeholders in planning and implementing waterfront development that enhances the authentic character of Ketchikan’s relationship with the ocean and provides a restorative experience for residents and visitors alike.
