    Our mission is to create life-changing solutions for people and communities affected by leprosy in Madurai City, Tamil Nadu, India.

    About Us

    Madurai Health And Leprosy Relief Centre (Mahelerecen) provides free treatment and rehabilitation services to the leprosy disabled among the slums & rural population of Madurai. We also promote leprosy prevention through case detection, leprosy awareness classes, and general health education. Mahelerecen began the fight against leprosy in 1991, and we currently have 575 patients under our care.
