Turning Point’s Warren County shelter offers a sanctuary for survivors of domestic and sexual violence, stalking, and human trafficking. Our 36-bed facility is more than just a shelter; it’s a haven where women and children find refuge from the storms of abuse, and where healing begins.
Here’s a glimpse of what our shelter services entail:
Safe Harbor: Our facility provides a safe and secure environment where survivors can find respite and support. With round-the-clock staffing and comprehensive security measures, we ensure the safety and well-being of all residents.
Community Living: While staying at our shelter, survivors and their children reside in communal living spaces. Each room is equipped with its own full bathroom for privacy and convenience.
Comfort and Amenities: Our shelter is designed to provide comfort and convenience to residents. We offer two laundry facilities, a spacious living room for relaxation and socializing, and a double kitchen to meet the needs of our diverse community.
Multipurpose Room: Whether it’s for support groups, workshops, or recreational activities, our multipurpose room serves as a versatile space for empowerment and healing.
On-Site Clothing Closet; We understand the importance of feeling comfortable and confident. Our on-site clothing closet offers a selection of clothing and essentials for residents in need.
Quiet Hours: To promote rest and relaxation, we observe limited noise and lights during designated quiet hours each night, allowing residents to recharge and rejuvenate.
Turning Point provides:
Crisis support, resources, and secure shelter that saves lives threatened by domestic and sexual violence, stalking, and human trafficking.
Belief in the human worth of every person we serve – offering compassion, respect, and confidentiality in all our supportive interactions.
Empowerment to survivors to gain insight, confidence, and knowledge to enjoy a safer, healthier future.
Staff who walk beside survivors on their journey of recovery, advocating for them when they cannot advocate on their own behalf, always with the goal of helping them achieve their own personal goals.
