Brandeis University Master of Arts in Teaching

About Us

The Brandeis M.A.T. Program prepares you to teach in Public Elementary, Secondary and Jewish Day Schools. Four semesters--two summers and an academic year classroom internship--lead to a M.A.T. degree and a teaching license.

We can help you become a bold and creative teacher. If your passion is public education and its democratic mission, we have the program for you. If you are called to teach in the day school world, we have the program for you.

In the Brandeis MAT you will find a year-long teaching internship, exceptional faculty and faculty attention, and wonderful fellow students. We will challenge you intellectually and practically, we will ask you to take risks, and we will support you while you do.

We offer generous scholarship assistance, and we help our students find jobs.
