CASA of Tulare County

CASA of Tulare County is a non-profit organization focused on the safety, health, and growth of foster children. We deploy Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) who spend time with children in the foster care system, look for the signs of numerous forms of abuse, and allow the otherwise lost voice of the child to pierce into their court appointments to ensure they have what they need, when they need it. CASA's are ordinary people who give their time and attention to children and help make our community stronger and more secure in it's future.

As an organization, it's our job to keep track of the kids of our community and effectively match them with advocates that will make sure their movement through the foster care system is safe and, hopefully, not long. We look for blood-relatives to unite the child with, encourage the parents of the child to change for the betterment of their child's well-being, and when all else fails, match them with foster parents that fit who they are and what they need.

Foster children with CASA's spend less time in the system, do better in school, and come to a faster case closed just because we fight for them when they cannot. CASA of Tulare County is committed to the goal of providing a dedicated trained advocate for every innocent child entering the court dependency system. CASA will ensure that the child or youth’s basic physical and emotional needs are met and that he or she will have every opportunity available to succeed in school--and every moment thereafter.
