Statement of Purpose or Mission

Called by Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit, Chevy Chase Presbyterian Church, a part of the Presbyterian Church (USA), strives to be an open, diverse, caring community of believers in God. Our Mission is:

· To celebrate God's grace, and to nurture our personal communal faith through worship and study;

· To reflect God's forgiveness, acceptance, and love through loving our neighbors as ourselves;

· To join with all believers in proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ; and

· To share our faith through God's work of justice, stewardship, and compassion towards suffering in the world.
