San Francisco Waldorf School
S.F. Waldorf School is an independent, co-educational, non-sectarian school providing education from Nursery through 12th grade, with parent-infant and parent-toddler classes offered in block sessions during the school year. The school's philosophy, curriculum, and method derive their inspiration from the early 20th century philosopher, Rudolf Steiner, who, among many other innovative social practices, developed a new pedagogical theory int he years immediately following WWI. Our school operates in 4 locations in the city, with the grade school in Pacific Heights, and the high school in West Portal. At SFWS, academic excellence, social responsibility, and the recognition of each individual's gifts are the guiding educational ideals.
