  • About Us

Northwest Documentary is a small media-arts non-profit that promotes the art of Documentary filmmaking. We illuminate important stories that would otherwise be lost or overlooked, provide experential learning opportunities, and generate better understanding, appreciation and dialog within our community. Established in 2003, we hold three terms of video workshops annually, guided by seasoned instructors and professional artists in a supportive environment for our students. Located in the heart of Old Town in Portland, Oregon, we also offer a free DVD library, affordable equipment rental and the use of our media lab for both members and current NW Documentary students.
