  • Mission

To bring positive change to organized sport from grade school through high school by: â ¢ Building self-worth for good mental health â ¢ Calming the atmosphere around organized sport â ¢ Enhancing personal performance in all areas of life

    About Us

We offer and advocate for a written sport psychology curriculum and workshops for leagues, schools and teams as the first step in making a positive change in improving the youth and school sports culture in America. This program is a real, logical plan based in science and professional experience knowledge. The program is currently being implemented in high schools in Massachusetts. GetPsychedSports.org (GPS)teaches children how to think to be successful and makes sports a vehicle for that learning. The curriculum teaches six areas of mental training: Giving maximum effort, creating a positive environment for self and others, task-orientation (focusing on details), written goal-setting, visualization or imagery, and meditation (focus, relaxation and mood). GPS teaches coaches and kids to think about what they are thinking about as what someone is thinking changes their behavior and performance.
