The Cortelyou Road Church of God (CRCG) was founded in 1967 by the late Bishop Dr. Honore A. Jacques and his wife, Co- Founder and Associate Pastor, Reverend Dr. Solange E. Jacques. It was established as the first Haitian Church of God in the United States. The church has experienced phenomenal growth and has since been named the mother of all Haitian Churches.
After more than 45 years of spreading the gospel and serving the community, CRCG continues to thrive as one of the leading Haitian churches in New York under the direction of their new pastor, daughter of the late Bishop Honore Jacques, Reverend Diane Jacques St. Surin and her husband Richard St. Surin.
While Pastor Diane is keeping her father’s legacy of excellence in service within the Haitian community alive, she is also pioneering the development of various CRCG Ministries to serve the needs of the english speaking community as well as the Haitian diaspora. She began a Task Force for Haiti which has contributed money to building a church in Haiti, feeding the impoverished and crusade missions. Our Cortelyou C.A.R.E.S. Ministry provides direct one-on-one service to church members and members of the community with various issues including immigration, housing, public benefits and more. Through our newly established benevolence ministry, the church was able to make major donations to victims of the 2223 Cortelyou Road Fire, annual coat drive giving more than 100 coats to members of the community, gifts to victims of domestic violence and much more.
Upon entering the doors of CRCG you feel welcome by the presence of God and the church family. With services in English, French and Creole everyone is welcome to come grow with us through God centered worship, the study of His word, and effective prayer.
