Our vision is to create an environment that provides resources that enable women to achieve their full potential. This is achieved through in-person quarterly empowerment sessions, virtual meetings, and supportive coaching.

    The 1st Step Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women from all walks of life-especially low-income mothers-by connecting them with vital resources and opportunities. We offer support through job training, educational workshops, and emergency aid. Our goal is to help women take The 1st Step toward long-term stability and self-sufficiency.

    We believe that when women are supported, entire families and communities thrive. Whether it's through mentoring, teaching a class, or helping at an event, our volunteers play a key role in making real change possible-one woman, one family, one step at a time.

    In 2024, The 1st Step was able to successfully distribute children's clothing to families in need that were valued at $128k.
