Unitarian Church of All Souls
Mission
All Souls is an open and welcoming religious community that nurtures possibilities and builds connections to forge redemptive change in ourselves, our city, and our world.
About Us
All Souls is an historic, progressive Unitarian Universalist church on the Upper East Side that promotes an equal and inclusive workspace. Established in 1819, it is a self-governing community who come together to worship, serve the community, and learn and grow in an enriching, non-dogmatic religious environment. All Souls is an accessible congregation dedicated to providing an environment in which all people feel welcome regardless of race, sexual orientation or physical ability. Members of the Unitarian Universalist faith covenant to affirm and promote:
- The inherent worth and dignity of every person;
- Justice, equity and compassion in human relations,
- Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations;
- A free and responsible search for truth and meaning;
- The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large;
- The goal of world community with peace, liberty and justice for all;
- Respect for the interdependent web of all existence, of which we are a part.
