Study Japanese in Arlington - SJA

Study Japanese in Arlington (SJA) is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization, promoting the study of Japanese language, arts, and culture among students of all ages. All our activities are voluntary. SJA started in 2018 as an advocacy group of high school students, parents, and Japanese community to maintain Japanese program at Arlington Public School. We provide free Japanese classes for elementary, middle, and high school students as well as adults (currently on-line). We also offer seminars on AP Japanese and Japanese colleges. Our origami enrichment program has been popular among elementary students. Our biggest community outreach is the annual Japan Day event in spring, where we showcase Japanese arts and culture, including games and anime!
