CASA of Venango County

  • About Us

We train and support volunteers who are called CASA's (court-appointed special advocates) that gather information from those involved in an abused or neglected child's life who is in the Venango County PA foster/court system. A CASA makes sure that the child's rights are not forgotten and we aim for permanency through adoption or, when possible, reunification with family. Reports are given to the judge so he can make the most informed decision about a child's future. This does not take special skills as you are thoroughly trained and supported as you work a case. A CASA is often the only constant adult in a child in the court system's life.
