The DreamWeaver Foundation promotes good health and self-sufficiency among prison populations in Malawi. We have a presence at 3 prisons in the country, serving a population of just under one thousand prisoners, aged 18-24.
We work with prison health facilities and the district health offices to improve access to services and resources for the prevention, treatment and care of HIV/AIDS among prisoners.
Additionally, we prepare prisoners for life outside prison by equipping them with technical skills which enable them to secure employment once released from prison, thereby reducing the likelihood of recidivism.
