San Francisco Marin Medical Society

The San Francisco Marin Medical Society (SFMMS) is the oldest county medical society in California. SFMMS was established to improve the health of San Francisco and Marin residents by uniting and supporting the local physician community and serving their professional needs. SFMMS is a component medical society of the California Medical Association (CMA).

SFMMS is a small but mighty non-profit. The scope of our interests is broad: any and all issues that affect physicians and their patients. Our work often intersects with state legislation and local ordinance.

SFMMS’ team is asked for flexibility - Committee meetings often take place during evenings or weekends - but in return, team members are entrusted with a great degree of autonomy and flexibility.

SFMMS staff works almost entirely remotely, though an office space in San Francisco is available to staff three days per week. SFMMS holds several in-person events in San Francisco and Marin throughout the year.
