    Our mission is to preserve & protect the Dole Mansion and Lakeside property for community use in a natural & historic setting. Lakeside Legacy Foundation will foster innovative art, education, and community destination that enriches the quality of life for those we serve.

    About Us

    LOCAL HISTORY - Maintain & preserve the whole building; (Dole Mansion & Arts Park)

    • Built-in 1865 for Mr. Dole and his family as a summer home. It was called Lakeland Farm and totaled 1,000 acres surrounding Crystal Lake.

    EDUCATION

    • Attend a concert of classical, jazz, or rock music up close in 'the Listening Room’. Attend an art class, event, or exhibit. Learn how to stay healthy at a yoga or Tai Chi class. Learn about careers that might be right for you and narrow in on the opportunities that you want to pursue.
    • Hosts Districts 47 & 155 art shows, community art events, and NMP’s 4th Fridays at The Dole, which supports local & regional artists with a genuine commitment to fresh + fun.
    • One-of-a-kind concert venue; The Listening Room. It’s not just a performance, it’s an experience. Extraordinary and intimate setting for both the musicians and audience, performing artists and recitals.

    COMMUNITY GATHERINGS

    The Dole hosts annual family-friendly fundraising events for the community to enjoy and connect with one another for a good cause. Our community needs The Dole, and The Dole needs you!
