About Us
AIMM is the professional organization of homebirth midwives in Maryland and supports homebirth midwives in every community providing safe, affordable, care to the families they serve.
AIMM recognizes home birth midwives as integral members of the health care team, practicing with confidence in their legal standing, and consulting, collaborating and referring within the health care system to provide safe continuity of care for the women and families they serve.
Women turn to AIMM for support of their sovereignty over their own health care, including choice of care provider and birth site. AIMM advocates for the homebirth community with state legislative, regulatory, and government bodies, as well as the media and the public.
