To be part of the solution to the waste management problem in Antigua, Guatemala. We offer a sustainable service for those eager to experiment with composting, reduce their environmental impact, and contribute to a greater collective effort.

    About Us

Green Mama Compost Inc. is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization registered in the USA, and operating in and around Antigua, Guatemala. We’re structured for growth and impact, ensuring that every contribution counts. In Guatemala, we operate under the banner of Volverse Tierra, an NGO dedicated to sharing environmental initiatives, the literal translation of volverse tierra – “becoming earth.”

    OUR MISSION & VALUES

We’re more than just a composting project. Green Mama Compost is a project of Volverse Tierra ONG, an NGO focused on education, community transformation, and environmental sustainability.

    We aim to:

    • Empower communities to reduce waste and enrich their soil.
    • Provide bilingual education on composting and sustainability.
    • Develop future innovative projects like children’s books and educational programs, each with its own unique identity.

In Guatemala, we are known as “Volverse Tierra, ONG.” This dual registration helps us maximize our impact and secure the necessary funding to keep growing.

Our ultimate goal is to grow, expand, and seize future opportunities to create a sustainable and green future. We believe in the power of composting to change the world—one bucket at a time.
