  • About Us

Utah’s Hogle Zoo nurtures respect and appreciation for the natural world by providing diverse educational, recreational, and conservation opportunities. This is accomplished through imaginative exhibits and programs, professional animal care, and a commitment to excellence.

Utah’s Hogle Zoo’s 42-acres are located in Salt Lake City, Utah at the mouth of Emigration Canyon. It houses a wide variety of mammals, reptiles, birds and other animals from diverse ecosystems around the world. Our goal is to increase understanding of, and responsibility for, local and global animal species and ecosystems

There are more than 2,000 USDA licensed wildlife exhibitors in the US but less than 10% of them have been accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). Hogle Zoo is one of that 10%, which means that it is recognized as being one of the best zoos in the world. Hogle Zoo is also a member of the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA).
