About Us

The Interdisciplinary Comprehensive Arm Rehabilitation Evaluation (ICARE) is an NIH – NINDS funded multi – center research project that is being conducted at the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Washington, D.C. The project is investigating the most effective physical rehabilitation approaches to address arm hemiparesis following a stroke. ICARE is a phase III randomized clinical trial also being conducted at Emory University in Atlanta, GA, and the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA.
