The Historical Society of the New York Courts
The Historical Society of the New York Courts is dedicated to collecting, promoting, and preserving the legal history of New York State. The Society runs programs on NYS’s legal history, and publishes books, a bi-annual periodical of legal history, and an annual calendar. It is now engaged in the development of a museum of legal history. It is also developing educational initiatives through an essay contest and curriculum development with NYS schools. The Society raises funds through memberships, grants, and an annual fundraiser.
