It strives to maintain a diverse and dynamic living collection that is authentic, engaging and a model for land management. The Arboretum reaches beyond its borders to address conservation needs of the region. As a significant cultural, educational, and recreational resource, the Arboretum fosters civic pride, encourages public dialogue, and contributes to the economic vitality of the region.
