  • About Us

The School of City & Regional Planning supports the next generation of ambitious planning professionals by starting with a diverse community. The School's students' backgrounds, experiences, and education reflect the variety and richness of contemporary society. Students, faculty, and researchers work together to create new tools for making cities more sustainable, resilient, and just. We design cities, regions and, more broadly, the future.

The Master degree in City and Regional Planning (MCRP) is ranked 7th in the nation by Planetizen, and admission into each of our programs is highly selective. Although the School only offers graduate degrees, undergraduate students may obtain a Minor in Sustainable Cities, a certificate in Real Estate Development, and take classes that enhance their studies at Georgia Tech.

The School of City and Regional Planning offers the Master of City and Regional Planning (MCRP), the Master of Science in Geographic Information Science and Technology (MS-GIST), the Master of Science in Urban Design (MS-UD), and a PhD in City Planning. Doctoral students pursue research in economic & community development, housing, land use, environment, transportation, planning theory, collaborative governance and urban design.
