Youth for Developement and Productivity (YODEP)

YODEP exists to create an environment where children, young people, and women live to their full potential through inclusive early childhood care and development, education, health, livelihood empowerment, food and nutrition security, climate and disaster resilience, child protection, and the promotion of social accountability and good governance.

Youth for Development and Productivity (YODEP) is a dynamic non-profit organisation dedicated to the well-being and empowerment of children and youth. Established in 1998, YODEP was founded in response to the urgent needs of Malawian children, youth, and women living in high-risk environments. These communities often face significant challenges such as poverty, lack of education, malnutrition, and elevated rates of communicable diseases. YODEP's mission is to foster a supportive and nurturing atmosphere where children and youth can thrive, develop essential skills, and overcome the barriers posed by their circumstances. Through various programs and initiatives, YODEP strives to create opportunities that pave the way for a healthier, more equitable future for the younger generation in Malawi.
