About Us

The Young Elected Officials (YEO) Network is a program of People For the American Way Foundation and the first and only national initiative to provide support to the newest generation of visionary leaders at every level of elected office. It was founded in 2005 by young elected officials themselves and has since grown from a community of dozens to a national network of over 1,000 members across the country in offices ranging from local school boards to the United States Congress.

The YEO Network provides cutting-edge programming, invests in the full pipeline of leadership, and builds sustained relationships with our members. We provide the resources young elected officials need to effectively impact policy, foster their own development and professional growth, and elevate their leadership in the broader social change movement.

The program is based in Washington, D.C. and works with a network of rising political leaders throughout the country. The YEO Network Communications and Programs Coordinator and Advanced Leadership Coordinator will help manage and coordinate critical portfolios in an exciting growth stage for the program.
