About Us

The National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO) is the nation's leading organization for resources and information about employee ownership.

What is employee ownership? At thousands of companies in the United States, employees own a substantial percentage of the company. These employee-owned companies are often more rooted in their communities, stay in business longer, provide better benefits and wages, and outperform traditional companies. Employee ownership comes in many different forms, including cooperatives, employee stock purchase plans (ESPPs), and employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs). ESOPs alone include more than 13 million employees at over 10,000 companies.

What do we do? Our work includes publications, conferences, surveys and research, seminars, Webinars, training, outreach, and more.
