Boys Home Society of Baltimore, Inc.

Founded in 1866, Boys Home Society of Baltimore is a residential group care facility for boys, aged 9-13. The 18-bed agency operates 24 hours a day, year-round in a protective, structured, home-like setting. The mission of Boys Home Society is to provide an immediate and temporary home in a residential group care setting for boys who are either homeless or not able to be cared for in their own homes. Through social, psychological, educational, cultural, and recreational services, the organization’s goal is to prepare each resident for return to his natural family, where feasible, or placement in a foster home setting. Boys Home Society is also an active member of the community, and a respected voice advocating for children at the city, county and state levels.
