Camp Not-A-Wheeze

We are a non-profit organization in Arizona that provides a wonderful camp for children ages 7-14 years old with moderate to severe asthma. The children spend a week in Heber, AZ where they get the complete camp experience while being monitored by medical volunteers. We have an all volunteer executive board and need up to 30-40 volunteers to help us for the week of camp. The camp is always the beginning of June, but registration opens in January every year. Medical volunteers need to have a license (professional or volunteer for Az) in Respiratory Therapy, Nursing (RN or LPN), Pharmacy, Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, MD, DO, or Paramedic. Student volunteers help out with camp activities and also are able to learn more about treating asthma, they must be enrolled in a program that is going for a license in careers listed under the medical volunteers. Also, we do take other volunteers with special talents, such as art, drama, knowledgable on hiking, teachers, etc that can help with the daily activities as well as monitor the children in the evening. The volunteers are at the camp 24/7 during the week, with one scheduled "day off."
