Tzedek is the Jewish community’s international development charity. That means we inspire action that uses the skills and resources of the Jewish community to better the lives of those less fortunate.
So we run educational programmes here in the UK, build relationships between the school children here and in the developing world, and activate the British Jewish community’s understanding and involvement in issues of extreme poverty.
We send volunteers to intern in Ghana. They support our partners’ work and experience life in the developing world first hand.
We do local development work in developing countries, that enable people to gain new skills and a sustainable income, and programmes that improve education. And then this work forms the backbone of our educational work.
We learn and we do.
