About Us

The Center for Global Prosperity (CGP) is one of 10 policy centers at the Hudson Institute, a nonprofit, nonpartisan innovation-oriented policy research organization in Washington, D.C. At CGP, we provide a platform—through conferences, discussion, publications, and media appearances—to create awareness among U.S. and international opinion leaders as well as the general public, about the central role of the private sector, both for-profit and not-for-profit, in the creation of economic growth and prosperity in the developing world. The Center's core publications are the Index of Philanthropic Freedom and the Index of Global Philanthropy and Remittances, which detail the sources and magnitude of private giving to the developing world.
