    SEARCH's primary mission is to operate a group home for 8 high-functioning, mentally-challenged adults in Shenandoah County, VA. To help cover the costs of the group home, SEARCH also operates a thrift shop in Mount Jackson. The thrift shop relies entirely on donations and all proceeds from the thrift shop support the group home. The Thrift Store also provides a source of low cost, quality clothes, furniture, housewares, and other items to members of the community.

The group home manager reports to the board. The thrift store is run by a manager and 1 part-time employee with the help of 30+ volunteers. The thrift store manager reports to the board as well.
