  • Mission

Our mission is to increase awareness, have earlier detection, and find a safer treatment for those affected by arteriovenous malformations (AVMs).

    About Us

We are a non-profit that was started in 2016 by our family after our son was diagnosed with a Grade IV AVM in his brain. There is not a lot of research being done, especially since this is a rare diagnosis (1%). We have partnered with Dr. Roc Chen, a neurosurgeon and an interventional radiologist, who has hired several doctors to perform research to find a safer treatment. They have been able to make a TRUE AVM in mice and have just had their first article published with their pilot data in the Annuls of Neurology, a very prestigious medical journal. We have several fundraisers a year, including a crawfish boil in the Spring and a golf tournament at Bluejack National in the Fall.
