Mission
AARP Foundation Tax-Aide provides free tax preparation help for anyone who cannot afford paid tax service, with particular focus on seniors and those with low income. We understand that many individuals may miss out on credits and deductions they’ve earned because they can’t afford to pay for professional tax preparation.
About Us
In 2018, some 35,000 Tax-Aide volunteers served 2.5 million people nationally/ The Tax-Aide Program in Morris County, NJ includes over 85 volunteers who prepared more than 2,800 federal tax returns at 12 tax preparation sites spread throughout the county. These sites are typically senior centers, community centers, and libraries. We are in need of volunteers to assist taxpayers directly by filling out tax returns as well as volunteers to manage the flow of service at each site, to manage computer equipment, and ensure taxpayer data security.
