About Us

Celebrating its 60th Anniversary Season, Milwaukee Repertory Theater is dedicated to providing the highest level of professional theater to Milwaukee and Wisconsin in addition to offering a wide range of educational and community programs.

Located in the heart of downtown Milwaukee, the Patty and Jay Baker Theater Complex is a cleverly-converted power generation plant that houses Milwaukee Repertory Theater consisting of three theaters: the Quadracci Powerhouse (720 seats), the Stiemke Studio (205 seats) and the Stackner Cabaret (118 seats), which is also a full-service restaurant and bar. Together these spaces offer a variety of staging options from compelling dramas, powerful classics, award-winning contemporary works to full-scale musicals and comedies.

Under the leadership of Artistic Director, Mark Clements, and Managing Director, Chad Bauman, The Rep is committed to creating plays that are meaningful and relevant to the society in which we live--plays that are challenging, visceral, and engage the community through the issues they explore, demonstrating how a theater deeply rooted in its locality can also enjoy a richly influential and resonant national voice.
