  • Mission

It is our mission to address the number of homeless and surrendered dogs. We have seen the need for training, basic necessities, veterinary care, and dog-friendly emergency shelters, first hand. We are devoted to creating a solution. Thousands of dogs are abandoned every month, nationally, due to their owner’s not having enough income to care for them properly. We can change that. We aim to prevent pet homelessness where it begins, in the home they have.

    About Us

Kooper's Legacy provides support, resources, and donations to pet-owners, who are low-income, struggling with finances, in-crisis, and those fleeing violent homes. We will assist a pet-owner with routine vet care, training, walking, yard-cleaning, food, training tools, other pet items (ie. leashes, beds, chew toys, scratching posts, brushes, preventatives, etc.). We microchip every pet we help, with permission from their owner, to ensure they're always able to find their way back home, as we are partners with Petco Love Lost.

We also have the Petco Love vaccine grant, to provide the community with free feline and canine vaccinations.

We were the only organization in Oregon to receive a grant from the Pedigree foundation in 2023.

We have a long list of other corporate and foundation supporters. (ie. Petsmart, Red Rover, CUDDLY, Tito's, Wilco, Mars, Microsoft, HP, Dell, Canva, Adobe, 2Hounds, BARK, Boxed Water Co., and many more.)
