The U.S. Green Building Council's Northern California Chapter is a diverse group of members in a region active in and receptive to progressive sustainable building goals. USGBC-NCC envisions a healthy planet where the built and natural environments, facilitate global stewardship, value legacy and honor diversity for the future. We are a not-for-profit voluntary organization that educates, motivates, provides resources and advocates for industry transformation to build and maintain sustainable communities.
The USGBC-NCC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, incorporated in the State of California. The leadership team consists of a seven member board of directors who oversee chapter policy, an executive director who manages operations and staff and a steering committee that contributes to the development and operation of the chapter's committees.
The USGBC-NCC depends on the volunteer efforts of regional green building advocates, revenues from some chapter events, dues from local members and generous support from chapter and event sponsors.
