Maine Mobile Health Program
The Maine Mobile Health Program is our state’s only farmworker health organization. Our mission is improving the health status of Maine's seasonal workers and their families by providing culturally appropriate care and services. We are a passionate and dedicated network of doctors, nurses, Community Health Workers and health educators that work together to provide healthcare to agriculture and aquaculture workers and their families.
MMHP’s mobile medical units bring primary care to farmworkers across the state. Outreach, case management, interpretation, and health education are key linkages. To complement these services a statewide referral “voucher” network creates access points for farmworkers to receive care in the communities where they live and work.
Our collaborative model involves folks who carry the commitment to make a difference in the lives of Maine’s farmworkers. By linking agricultural workers to care and services, we aim to reduce health disparities and inequities of access for this workforce. Putting fruits and vegetables on ALL or our tables is not only vital work, it positively impacts our collective health.
