About Us
Life or Liberty is a media initiative mobilizing immigrant communities whose human rights are under attack.
Documentary filmmakers collaborate with organizations Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund (AALDEF), Desis Rising Up and Moving (D.R.U.M.) and the Coalition for the Human Rights of Immigrants (CHRI) to produce short and feature-length documentaries.
Through screenings at events organized in collaboration with community-based organizations, these videos will motivate and facilitate organizing from within the affected communities, and spread public awareness of a human rights crisis largely ignored by the mainstream media.
The project is non-profit as Third World Newsreel http://www.twn.org is the fiscal sponsor.
