Down But Not Out

Down But Not Out (DBNO) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving individuals experiencing homelessness and families living in poverty across Los Angeles. Since 2013, our mission has been to provide essential resources—such as hot meals, hygiene kits, clothing, and emergency preparedness materials—while fostering compassion, dignity, and community connection.

We believe that no one should be invisible or forgotten. By mobilizing volunteers, building partnerships, and engaging donors, DBNO works to uplift those who are struggling and to remind them that being “down” does not mean being “out.” Together, we strive to create pathways of hope, resilience, and opportunity for the most vulnerable in our city.
