The Holocaust and the United Nations Outreach Programme
About the Holocaust and the United Nations Outreach Programme:
The UN Holocaust Programme was established in 2006 by UN General Assembly resolution 60/7 with a mandate to further education about and remembrance of the Holocaust, in order to help prevent future genocide. Since then, the Holocaust Programme has developed an international network of civil society partners and a multifaceted programme that includes many activities, including online educational products, study guides and DVDs, a journal, seminars, a film series, and the annual worldwide observance of the International Day of Commemoration in memory of the victims of the Holocaust on 27 January.
