About Us

Our Mission:Brother Wolf Animal Rescue, headquartered in Asheville, North Carolina, was founded in 2007 to provide the resources and life-saving programs to build a No-Kill community. As a grass roots organization, BWAR operates a large adoption center in Asheville that is open to the public 365 days a year making it easy to adopt, volunteer, and become involved in our No-Kill mission. In addition, BWAR has several county chapters throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia, which operate their own Thrift Stores and Adoption Centers.

Our Vision:

Our vision is for a community that embraces our core ethic of uncompromised compassion.

Our Values:

Our core ethic of uncompromised compassion is the foundation of our No Kill mission. We lead by example- we do what we say we are going to do. We value our relationships with each other and with those in our community and beyond, and recognize that they are critical in our work for the animals. Our unwavering commitment to better the lives of the animals is the guiding force of our work.
