About Us

Community Action Development Corporation of Bethlehem (CADCB) promotes social and economic change by fostering business and other economic opportunities within the community of south Bethlehem.

Economic Development - Community Action Development Corporation of Bethlehem (CADCB) supports entrepreneurs living and working in and around south Bethlehem through one-on-one technical assistance and education. We offer an 18-week Start Your Business class twice a year for entrepreneurs interested in starting or expanding a business. This class features guest speakers who share their expertise in finance, marketing, business formation, regulations, insurance, and more. A facilitator guides each student through the process of developing a customized business plan. Our staff assist entrepreneurs with business planning, marketing, location analysis, budgeting, diverse business self-certifications, business formation and dissolution, designing and creating content for print and online promotional materials, human resources, understanding regulations and permits, and applying for funding through the Rising Tide Community Loan Fund. CADCB also organizes and promotes the 4 Block International commercial corridor located in the 500-800 blocks of East Fourth Street in south Bethlehem.

Community Development – We manage and staff a Neighborhood Partnership Program called Southside Vision in partnership with the City of Bethlehem. Through this initiative, we will be focusing on five interrelated areas in south Bethlehem: economic sustainability, housing, public spaces, safety and wellbeing, and community engagement and communication. Our office also serves as a clearinghouse of information of interest to residents and businesses in Bethlehem. In addition to making resources available on site, we also distribute flyers, particularly in the 4 Blocks International neighborhood, and use social media to share information. We organize the 4 Blocks International Neighborhood Association, a monthly gathering of businesses and residents who work together toward community change.

CADCB is a subsidiary of Community Action Committee of the Lehigh Valley.
