Hively builds meaningful connections with families and communities, ensuring access to resources every child in Alameda County needs to thrive.

    About Us

Hively has been serving Alameda County families since 1976. We support families through child care stipends and referrals, family resource navigation, parent education classes, and clinical mental health services.

Hively connects income-eligible families with Child Care assistance through CalWorks Subsidy and California Alternative Payment programs provided by state and federal funds. Our Family Support Specialists help families locate the child care that best fits their family’s needs. Developing strong partnerships with Child Care Providers ensures an abundance of high quality early learning spaces for children. Hively collaborates with local child care providers and supports new providers, offering training, workshops and resources necessary to start, build and grow thriving child care businesses.

Our two Family Resource Centers in Pleasanton & Oakland provide a one-stop shop for families to access basic essentials, free-of-charge, such as children’s clothing, shoes, diapers, books and early learning materials. Our resource centers also act as a support and education resource hub for both families and child care providers.

Hively Mental Health offers counseling services in three Alameda County locations for all ages, toddler to adult, via Medi-Cal and private pay options. Our clinicians are licensed marriage and family therapists and pre-licensed trainees.
