    The Department of Cancer Prevention and Control within the Oncological Sciences at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai focuses on research in the biobehavioral issues related to cancer and its treatment. There are a variety of populations under study, including women at risk for breast cancer, breast cancer patients, women who have undergone BRCA1/2 testing,and people who have had bone marrow/stem cell transplants. The Mount Sinai School of Medicine is internationally recongized for innovative approaches to medical education and research. The School is seamlessly connected to Mount Sinai Hospital, one of the country's oldest and largest voluntary teaching hospitals.
