Provident, Inc. is proud to meet its mission statement each and every day: “Helping individuals and families to a brighter future through counseling, crisis intervention and community support programs.”

Provident provides counseling to nearly 4,000 youth, adults, and ex-offenders, many of whom could not afford professional therapy in another setting. Provident’s Life Crisis Services receive around 28,000 calls a year from individuals in crisis. Dedicated staff provides safe, stimulating afterschool programming to over 600 youth in high-risk, low-income neighborhoods. These activities provide direct positive impact on those served, and collectively work to strengthen the St. Louis community.

Provident is a proud member of the United Way of Greater St. Louis. We also receive funding from other valued community partners such as the St. Louis County Children’s Service Fund, ARCHS, Missouri Foundation for Health, and many others. With their combined support we are able to proudly serve the Greater St. Louis area.
