Ohio Coalition Against Gun Violence

The mission of the Ohio Coalition Against Gun Violence is to save lives through advocacy and education to prevent gun violence. OCAGV serves as a statewide source for education and resources on legislative issues around violence. OCAGV monitors national and state activity and leads the advocacy for safer policy.

OCAGV works with other organizations and individuals to facilitate data collection, community solutions and public health recognition of the gun violence problem.

By changing attitudes we believe social policy will change the culture of violence and public policy will reduce the prevalence of guns. Our social and public policy will be guided by the belief that more guns will mean more violence and that prevention is the priority over punishment.
