Fulbright Colombia is an intergovernmental organization dedicated to the promotion of academic and cultural exchange between Colombia and the United States. Located in Bogotá, Fulbright Colombia is responsible for developing, administrating and supervising all Fulbright grants and programs in Colombia. Each year the Fulbright Commission provides grants to between 80-100 Colombians for postgraduate studies, research, teaching and professional development in the U.S. At the same time, approximately 40 U.S. scholars and students come to Colombia yearly with Commission sponsorship is order to study and engage in research in Colombian universities, research centers, and art institutes.
Fulbright Colombia’s Centro de Consejería Educativa (CCE) is an engaged and active branch of more than 450 advising centers of EducationUSA supported by the U.S. Department of State, and is committed to providing the highest quality of advising regarding higher education opportunities in the United States. The CCE offers a variety of free and for fee services to the public, including charlas informativas, charlas with U.S. universities about programs and admissions requirements, educational advising, visits to universities, participation in educational fairs, sale of exam preparation materials/books, official translations and preparation courses for the GRE.
